Jakarta will play host to the M4 World Championship

While we are in the middle of the MPL Seasons, Moonton has blessed us with an announcement pertaining to the M4 World Championships.

Last year the M3 World Championships broke records with its viewership numbers, while Blacklist International proved to the world that they were the best team. This year, with the restrictions of the global pandemic being eased around the world, the M4 World Championship is set to break even more records, as teams seek to dethrone Blacklist and claim the crown for themselves. Earlier today Moonton confirmed the location, dates, and prize pool for M4.

From January 1st, 2023, through to the 15th, teams from around the globe will descend on Jakarta, Indonesia, to battle across the Land of Dawn to become the champions of M4. The participating countries for the M4 World Championships will be Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, MENA, Myanmar, Turkey, North America, LATAM, Brazil, and Mekong. Teams from all of the above-mentioned countries will fight over the two-week period, trying to claim their share of the $800,000 prize pool up for grabs.

M3 saw the rise of a few teams and players, with one of the most memorable being BloodThirstyKings, the North American team, surprising the world with their third-place finish and top tier plays.  M4 will hope to repeat the surprises with teams from around the globe, once again, trying to find their place amongst the best – and possibly dethrone PH from their perch above the rest. Whether or not Blacklist can become the first ever two-time MLBB World Championship title holders remains to be seen, but when M4 comes in January 2023, the teams will be ready for their biggest challenge yet.

We will keep you up to date on all the M4 World Championship news in the coming months, including the qualifiers, qualified teams, and much more.
