Although the roar of the Tigers is well-known throughout the Southeast Asians Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community, these are not the most famous ones, as EVOS Legends normally fly the flag for the organisation. With that said, EVOS SG should never be counted out, as they masterfully took the latest MPL SG title, leaving their sister squads in their lurch as they entered M3. However, today they would be facing an opponent like no other, in the form of BlootThirstyKings, the North American qualifier team that have already taken down Blacklist International.
MobaZane was definitely the player that needed to be countered by EVOS SG, but they seemed unable to do so in game one. Although the Tigers had an early game advantage. BTK took over in the mid-game period and eventually took the win. The difference in game two was clear, as MobaZane’s Barats was denied every ultimate use, leaving BTK in the dusk, especially without their playmaker being able to make an impact. Although a long game persuade, BTK could never counter their opponents, as the series was now tied at 1-1.
Once again, in game three, BTK were on another level, making the most intense plays to pickoff their opponents. Even so, EVOS were the ones on the front foot, although behind on the gold, for most of the game. JPL was the one to take the aggression on himself, but somehow BTK were still able to remain unpunished. It took one swift fight at the 15-minute mark, where the NA challengers took over the game and swiftly took themselves to match point.
Nobody ever expected the NA team to be the ones to challenge teams at M3, but BTK definitely came in showing that they should not be counted out – especially against the Tigers. With that said, BTK shocked people across the world as they caused another massive upset, as they dominated EVOS SG to reach the upper bracket finals – but more importantly, making it to the top three of the M3 World Championships.
For EVOS SG, they now head to the lower bracket where they will face Todak, while BTK take on Onic PH in the upper bracket finals.
