Anyone’s Legend dismantle BLG to stay alive at MSI 2025 and set up a showdown with T1

Meanwhile, BLG bow out of the competition in fourth place.

It’s do-or-die day once again for the teams that competed at the 2025 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, with two LPL teams facing off to determine who advances to the Lower Bracket Finals. In the end, it was Anyone's Legend who prevailed in a 3-0 sweep against Bilibili Gaming.

Anyone’s Legend entered the tournament as the LPL’s first seed, starting strong in the first round of the Upper Bracket with a 3-1 win over FlyQuest. However, they dropped to the Lower Bracket after a devastating 3-2 loss against LCK’s first seed, Gen.G.

Meanwhile, BLG entered the competition as the LPL's second seed and had to sweep their way through the Play-ins to reach the Bracket Stage. In the Upper Bracket, they defeated Movistar KOI in Round 1 but lost 0-3 to T1 in Round 2, which sent them to the Lower Bracket. There, they defeated FlyQuest 3-1 to advance to Round 3.

Here's how the matches went:

The first half of Game 1 was a slugfest, with both teams playing cautiously around objectives and trades across the map. But as the team compositions scaled into the late game, team fights intensified, with AL eventually pulling ahead and winning every fight after the 20-minute mark. In 37 minutes, AL marched into BLG’s base and destroyed their Nexus to take the first game.

The LPL Split 2 champions played more aggressively in Game 2, pressuring BLG within the first 15 minutes and consistently finding ways to chase and corner their opponents. AL continued to snowball despite BLG’s attempts at a comeback. In 29 minutes, AL destroyed BLG’s Nexus to win the second game and reach match point.

In Game 3, BLG refused to go down without a fight, trading kills and objectives across the map while maintaining a small gold lead early on. However, once again, AL outplayed them in team fights and punished even the smallest mistakes. Eventually, AL pulled ahead with a sizeable lead while BLG resisted until the end. Still, AL closed out the game in an extended 44-minute battle to win the third game and the series 3-0.

With this victory, Anyone’s Legend will face T1 tomorrow, 12 July at 8:00 AM SGT/11 July at 5:00 PM PST, in the Lower Bracket Finals.

Meanwhile, BLG bow out of the competition in third place, taking home US$240,000 in consolation.
