K/DA may finally be preparing to make a comeback on the League of Legends stage, nearly six years after the virtual group last released new music. A new song titled WATCH ME has appeared in the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ (ASCAP) repertory, with K/DA listed as the performer.
The registration does not include a release date, and Riot Games has not announced a new K/DA song or comeback. However, the writers attached to WATCH ME include several established names from Riot Games, Western pop, and K-pop.
K/DA song WATCH ME appears in ASCAP repertory
ASCAP lists Nija Aisha-Alayja Charles, Felicia Ferraro, Sebastien Najand, Ali Tamposi, and Federico Vindver as writers on WATCH ME. For League of Legends fans, Sebastien Najand is perhaps the most familiar name on the list. The Riot Games Principal Composer previously worked on K/DA songs including POP/STARS and THE BADDEST, alongside other League music such as RISE, GODS, and Legends Never Die.
The rest of the team also brings experience across Western pop and K-pop. Nija Charles has credits on songs including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s Rain on Me, Ariana Grande’s Positions, and Beyoncé’s Water, while Felicia “Feli” Ferraro worked on BTS’ Run BTS and Coi Leray’s Players.
Ali Tamposi’s credits include Camila Cabello’s Havana, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s Señorita, and 5 Seconds of Summer’s Youngblood. Tamposi and fellow WATCH ME writer Federico Vindver also worked together on KATSEYE’s My Way, while Vindver’s other credits include Meghan Trainor’s Made You Look and Coldplay’s Higher Power.
The registration alone does not confirm what Riot has planned for WATCH ME, but K/DA being listed as the performer and Najand’s involvement give the filing a direct connection to Riot’s existing League music catalogue.
K/DA last released new music with the ALL OUT EP in 2020. The group originally debuted in 2018 with POP/STARS, featuring Ahri (voiced by Miyeon of (G)I-DLE), Akali (voiced by Soyeon of (G)I-DLE), Evelynn (voiced by Madison Beer), and Kai’Sa (voiced by Jaira Burns), according to Riot Games' official credits.
POP/STARS was a massive debut. According to GameSpot, the single reached No. 1 on the K-pop charts and No. 5 on the overall pop charts on Apple Music in the US, while also topping Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Its music video passed 100 million views on YouTube within its first month, and POP/STARS later became the first single by a K-pop girl group to be certified platinum.
Nearly six years after ALL OUT, K/DA still has around 1.94 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The group's six-song catalogue has accumulated more than 1.43 billion Spotify streams and was still drawing around 274,000 streams per day as of 21 August 2026, according to Kworb. POP/STARS alone has passed 431 million streams.
K/DA and HEARTSTEEL reportedly getting new League of Legends skins
The WATCH ME registration has also surfaced around the same time as alleged leaks pointing to new K/DA and HEARTSTEEL content in League of Legends. According to leaks circulating on X, both groups are reportedly getting new skins during Season 3 of 2026, although Riot Games has not officially confirmed the cosmetics.
HEARTSTEEL debuted in 2023 with PARANOIA, while K/DA has been largely quiet since ALL OUT in 2020. Neither the alleged skins nor the ASCAP registration confirms that a full K/DA comeback is happening, but WATCH ME now gives that possibility something more concrete to work with.
