Worlds 2022: It gets LOUD on day 3 as Fnatic is handed their first loss of the tournament

It got LOUD in Mexico to kickstart day three.

After a lacklustre start to their Worlds 2022 campaign, LOUD has started to show signs of life after defeating Fnatic at the start of day three. That win propels them to the top four for now but it will mean so much for all the CBLOL fans who are hoping to see their region's best in the group stage. While Fnatic are still top of Group A, this loss shows that there is still work left to be done before they can truly compete against the best.

And LOUD got off to the perfect start, getting two quick kills on Fnatic with the likes of Diego "Brance" Amaral on Miss Fortune getting the first blood. A quick rotation from Thiago "TinOwns" Sartori with Sylas getting on the scoreboard as well. Fnatic did manage to claim a kill of their own but the damage was already done in the bottom lane. For most of the early game, LOUD was able to read Fnatic's movements and was able to pick them off on numerous occasions.

Fnatic also gifted Brance an easy double kill after over-committing on a kill in the bottom lane, losing both their jungler and support in return for Denilson "Ceos" Oliveira. Even Leonardo "Robo" Souza with Aatrox got involved in the action a few minutes later, getting a double kill of his own with two of Fnatic straying way too far out on their own. But while LOUD looked more than capable of fighting with Fnatic, it was the latter who was able to keep up in terms of gold and experience difference.

Brance was having one of his better games of the tournament, even winning a one-versus-one against Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz on Sejuani while on a sliver of health. Fnatic soon collapsed upon LOUD but it was too late as they gifted Brance another double kill after taking out Marek "Humanoid" Brázda on Akali and leaving only Elias "Upset" Lipp alive. This four-man wipe on Fnatic resulted in a free Baron for LOUD while also allowing them to gain some control and dominance over the map.

LOUD soon rotated to the bottom lane and was met with Fnatic looking to defend their outer turret. Unfortunately, they lost Humanoid way too early in the fight, which gave them a numbers disadvantage. Smelling blood in the water, LOUD went for the kill with a great initiation from TinOwns, which was followed up by Robo. Fnatic lost four more once again, leaving Upset fleeing for his life.

With a commanding lead over the gold, experience, and overall map, it was LOUD's game to lose at this point. Fnatic was desperate for any kills at this point to stop the bleeding and Humanoid looked like he had the perfect opportunity after finding Robo alone. However, he soon got jumped upon by TinOwns and Ceon after straying too far from his team. With only Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen alongside him, it was another two free kills for LOUD.

At that point, Fnatic was resigned to their first loss of the tournament. It may have taken three days, but LOUD are finally showing why the CBLOL is steadily becoming a region to be reckoned with.
