Orange eSports claims G-League crown

?

They played three outstanding regular seasons in the past, but always crumbled under the pressure of the playoff settings - Orange eSports. Now the Malaysian powerhouse finally broke through and adds the G-League Cycle 3 Championship to their already rich profile as the premier team of South East Asia.

It was a long and tough road to the top for Orange eSports but after three regular seasons and two major collapses in the postseason, the reigning Malaysian National Champions are finally on top of the South East Asian region. The team with the most points during the regular season had the opportunity to win the G-League Championship twice already, with great seeds in the postseason - but failed in the process. The first playoff appearance was ended by Neolution eSports.MRR in the Semis, the second stopped by Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry in the Grand Finals.

Now Orange eSports dominated the regular season once more with 12 victories and only three ties, adding 39 points to their already stacked account of G-League points they gathered over the past three month. All this would have mean nothing again though, if they would have walked into the playoffs for a third straight time and got ousted right away. The determination and the will to win was clearly stronger this time and the revenge factor against Neolution eSports.MRR was also not to be trifled with.

The Malaysian team was perfectly prepared, they played great matches and gave the Thai squad not a single inch of room to play their own game. The matches were not clean and easy sweeps in under 20 minutes, but the dominance was clearly felt throughout the entire runtime. ORGE players kiDDO` and Endkindler jumped out to a fantastic start with double-digit kill counts on the first 46 minute map, playing Kraken and Pandamonium against Neolution eSports.MRR. The second one did not only set up a match point for Orange, but was also the shortest of the matches. Only 26 minutes could MRR sustain the power of ORGE and then it was all over. kiDDO` played out of his mind again on his Bubbles, guiding his squad to the 2-0 score and put them in a position to be just one victory removed from overcoming their "postseason demons".

That third and final match once again took a little while for Orange to pull through, but after 45 minutes the Malaysian team sealed the deal and walked away with their first playoff win and their first G-League Championship. Once again it was kiDDO` who worked the magic on his Ravenor, going 12/2 with XPM and GPM well above 400, while MRR carry duiqu struggled to find any sort of momentum for the whole series.

Now ORGE finally has their G-League title under their belt, while passing over the "Torch of Chokes" to Neolution eSports.MRR, who are 0-2 in G-League Grand FInals after this. They might have the best playoff record of all G-League teams and are a fierce competitor once they reach the postseason, but two very decisive losses in the big game are letting them seem like Billy Beane on his quest to "Win the last game of a season". They will get one more chance for glory, otherwise they need to summon the strength and make a run after the regular season cycles.
