aMQ, ORGE and ImpS headlining opening day of SEA HoN Tour

?
The opening day of SEA HoN Tour is in the books with Orange eSports, Anti Moon Queen, iMpunity.Storm, Gspeed AVI and Vietnam dream Team getting their first victories in the highest HoN Tour Division of the region, while teams like Turtle Master, Neo.MRR and iMpunity.Fire failed to do so - one team even falling 0-2.

It was the opening day of the first SEA HoN Tour with the prestigious G-League and both lower Divisions starting off in their August Cycle. The big surprises in the G-League did not occur though with the favorite teams either winning their matches or even teams ending their bout in a tie.

The big winners of this day was without a doubt Anti Moon Queen with well-known player like Ceewhy, wangwang, ZergRush and SpikyMelon. The squad that almost made it to DreamHack Summer 2013 through the SEA Qualifier faced off against Emperor and his iMpunity.Fire team and made them suffer their first ever competitive lost since forming. In two decisive matches the Malaysian team took complete command of the series and are now one of only five teams that could score a victory on the opening day.

Alongside aMQ are their fellow Malaysians of Orange eSports, who defeated the Thai team Open House Party in their respective opener with 2-0 as well. The Malaysian powerhouse that did not quite make it to DreamHack, but is now back to their old roster with MrGhost, Shuiyu, kiDDO`, Nick_Oks` and Endkindler looked poised throughout the SEA Qualifiers for HoN Tour and continued their stride all the way into the first day of this competition. The Thai squad of OHP had little to no chances against the five Malaysian that are looking to take back their regional dominance through this massive tournament series.

The last SEA team that could score a victory was Vietnam minion Team, who defeated the iMpunity.Earth conqueror of 2nd Runner Up. That bout was one of the matches with the least starpower, but still the first points for Vietnam minion Team will count for the rest of the season and might help them stay away from elimination or even give them a shot to claim a playoff seed.

From the Thai side Gspeed AVI and iMpunity.Storm secured victories for their teams - AVIx even defeating one of the Thai representative that made it through the Upper Bracket in that qualifier. The Star Boy Band was the upset team of the qualifier, but their star faded very quick when Gspeed AVI stepped over them with ease.

NoVa and his iMpunity.Storm squad had FunFunPlace from the SEA region as an opposing force, a match that was contested for the early parts of both matches, but once the storm started rolling it was all over.

Next to those five matches the three other matches ended in a split. Step Gods and Brix could not determine a clear winner, Guilty Crown and Who We Are split their series in the SEA battle, while the highlight match of Turtle Master and Neolution eSports.MRR also didn't see a clear winner. Both trademark Thai teams fought hard in the matches, TurM jumped ahead to a 1-0 lead, but then had to witness the former DreamHack Winter 2012 participant rally back and push both teams into the middle of the pack for now.
