Right after the HoN Tour Season 2 announcement, Honcast is preparing a treat for the loyal HoN community with a special invitational. It is the first Invitational from Honcast that will be hosted solely funded by the money the newly introduced subscriber option brought in.
HoN Tour Season 2 is on the horizon with the registrations open and the qualifier stage already in sight, but HoN has another treat in store for the fans. Powered by the subscribers of the Honcast twitch.tv channel this event will showcase the talents of the ten best teams in the HoN scene right now. All major teams have accepted the invite and every team will look to show their skills and their readiness for HoN Tour Season 2 in the fan event.
One thing to note about the event is that all eight Diamond Division invites are in the running for the Honcast Invitational title, but also the two Top 10 teams that got bumped out are there to compete. Justice League and brb 3 min both showed tremendous dedication to HoN in the offseason and can now prove that they should have been invited into the Diamond Division directly. It's not just a competition for the HoN Invitational prize, but also the pride is on the line again. Can the teams like Lions eSports, Stay Green, Too Much Sugar, Vietnamese Dream Team, Locomotives, Team Excellent, Team USA or Internet Gangster prove their worth or can the two left outs make it through.

Alongside those two qualities an incentive prize pool of $500 USD is added to the mix with the winning team gaining $225 USD, while the runner up can enjoy $125 USD. To complete the $500 USD prize pool the teams that will make it out of the Group Stage and into the second round of the playoffs will still get a small payday for their efforts. The defeated teams from the Semifinals will walk home with $75 USD each.
On a total of four days the spectacle will go down with the Group Stage taking center stage the first two days and the playoffs being the highlight of the last two days to close the fan festivities. The Quarterfinals will start Thursday, July 18th at noon EDT (6 PM CEST), the Semifinals will played on the same day - just three hours later, with Friday being reserved for the Grand Finals and the two best teams colliding. That Final will go down at 2 PM EDT (8 PM CEST) with the chase for the first HoN Invitational title going into the last round.

All the action will be provided by the three major coverage teams in HoN with Honcast getting three matches in the playoffs, coLcast covering a Quarterfinal match and a Semifinal clash, while the newcomers of TeamStayGreen will have ten games from the Group Stage to work with.
