Third CIS vs. EU clash with vdT and iTS

A couple of days after DreamHack Summer 2013 the CIS region wants to get another crack at the established European elite to avenge the results of DreamHack. The third installment of the series features two DH warriors with vdT and iTS, but also interesting prospects like Lions, Cats and Locomotive.

It was one suffering tournament for the proud CIS region in Jönköping, Sweden. Their Champions of iTS traveled decimated and with three replacements to the DreamHack Summer 2013 festivities and couldn't record a single map victory. In the end their record stated a crushing 0-9 in map score, dropping them on the eight and last place of all teams that attended the event.

Now it is time to make up for those results as Garena.CIS is hosting their third installment of the "CIS vs. EU" showmatch tournament. This time teams like Vietnamese Dream Team, Lions eSports, locomotive and "4 Friends and Buch" are going to represent the European region, while CIS is trying to make up for the last "CIS vs. EU" tournament and the DreamHack with the real iTS, Cats Gaming, Meka and 6u4u.

Once again the format will give every team a chance to showcase their skills against two teams from the other region and one opponent from their own region as two groups will once again start off the tournament. Group A will see vdT, locomotive, Cats Gaming and 6u4u going head-to-head, Group B will provide a real look into the capabilities of iTS against Lions, ex-Pikachu and their CIS rivals of Meka. From each group the best two teams will advance and get a chance to compete for the total prize pool of $750 USD in the playoffs. As usual the winner of the whole event is not only winning bragging rights for his continent, but also claiming $500 USD for the team - the runner-up will still be rewarded with $250 USD.

All the action will go down on June, 29th when the Garena.CIS stream starts to bring you the matches from the tournament. All matches will be played on the CIS client, all matches in the group stage will be in the Best of One mode and the starting time for the tournament is set at 4 PM CEST (10 AM EST / 6 PM MSK)
