With BlizzCon over, what's next for Heroes eSports in November?

Congratulations to Ballistix for their 3-1 Grand Finals victory over Fnatic to win BlizzCon 2016! Let's take a peek at what's next for Heroes eSports during the rest of the month.

Gold Club World Championship

Prize Pool: $300,000 (1st place gets $90,000)

Qualified Teams:

  • Team Dignitas (Europe Fall Champion); 3/4th place finish at BlizzCon

  • Astral Authority (North America Fall Champion); 7/8th place finish at BlizzCon

  • MVP Black (Super League Runner up); 3/4th place finish at BlizzCon (1)

  • Zero Panda (China Summer Champion); 5/6th place finish at BlizzCon

  • Super Perfect Team (CN Summer Runner up) (2)

  • CN Wild Card (Not Yet Determined)

  • Global Wild Card (Not Yet Determined) (3)

(1) Ballistix punched MVP Black's ticket here by winning BlizzCon, as Ballistix was already qualified by virtue of being Korea's Fall Champion.

(2) Due to drama in the Chinese region, it is unclear what the Super Perfect Team roster will be for the event.

(3) Since I don't think this refers to minor regions, this means that Fnatic, Misfits and MVP Miracle will be prime contenders for this last spot.  Tempo Storm has disbanded, so they won't be competing here.

This event starts November 11, which is not even a week away!  Learn more here.

Qualifiers for HGC 2017 Leagues (North America and Europe)

We're going to find out in about 2 weeks who the 8 teams that will make up the North American and European Leagues for the first half of HGC 2017 will be!

Read up on the format of HGC 2017

Link to Battlefy page that lists all the HGC 2017 qualifiers for North America and Europe.  Click on the individual qualifier to see which teams are signed up / sign up your team.

BlizzCon representatives from each region are automatically qualified for the first leg of HGC 2017.  Those teams are Astral Authority, Denial eSports, Team Dignitas and Fnatic.  These teams shouldn't have any problems participating in the Gold Club World Championship if they are qualified or qualify as the Global Wildcard.

Each qualifier is single elimination, with bo3 matches until the semi-finals, with the semi-final matches being best of 5 to determine which 2 teams will advance from the qualifier into HGC 2017.
