Two hero reveals bring on swarm of fan theories

Blizzard knows how to bring hype to unreleased content and their latest bag of tricks include two hero quotes that leave the Heroes community guessing. Who do you think is coming into the Nexus next?

I wonder what it is like to be the person that pulls the trigger on these Blizzard reveals? What is it like to temporarily dominate the minds of a legion of fans the click of a button? Do they know we are going to lose sleep over this?

Who do you think these two heroes are? Check the revealed quotes below:

So the first quote has the majority of fans firmly on the Diablo 3 female wizard camp. The voice has all the playfulness and ego the Wizard class brings and also coincides with another teaser image Blizzard revealed earlier. Can you see the staff in the bottom center of the image? Yeah, that is a Diablo wizard staff and there is no debate on that.

So Diablo female wizard has me convinced. The voice above sounds just like it and it also fits Blizzards plans to bring more mage classes into the game.

But this other voice? Things get a little more complicated. There was initially a loud roar of Kel'Thuzad but the masses quickly realized the voices don't' really match up: Kel'Thusad is more serious and chilling in his laughter. Medihv is a strong guess as well, as the voice does sound male, powerful, but at the same time old and a little sickly. However, if we are going that route, wouldn't the Diablo 2 Necromancer make more sense considering the first hero is almost certainly a Diablo character as well?

Then, people started suggesting that the second voice may actually be Garona Halforcen, the legendary assassination rogue. Mmm... interesting theory, let's take a look at that teaser image mentioned earlier:

This image is currently subject to much debate among lore aficionados and teaser junkies. The dagger on the left is surely Nazeebo's (as made obvious by the spiders and skull) but the dagger on the right is clearly less witch doctor and more rogue. More dripping poison, less occult and more back stab. More evidence at Garona?

And then, there is the Warcraft movie that features Garona as an integral main character played by Paula Patton. Blizzard has reason to include Garona into Heroes of the Storm to further create a fan base for the character, and, even if that sounds like a stretch, it shows that Garona is clearly on Blizzards mind as a possibility.

Don't even get me started on Mephisto theories. Congrats Blizzard, you did it again. The hype train is making it's usual stops, will you get on?
