Vietnam takes the GosuCup SEA crown from Singapore, as zGGLeoz crushes cup #2

Leo "zGGLeoz" Tang is the second GosuCup SEA champion and inherits the throne from Pewpewurface after a dominant 3-0 showing against NyikNyukNyek in the finals.

The debut GosuCup SEA for 2015 season brought an up and coming player into the spotlights but this weekend’s tournament was all about battle scarred SEA veterans. After seven cutthroat rounds, the grand final of Cup #2 came down to Leo “zGGLeoz” Dang from Vietnam and Andreas “NyikNyukNyek” Hermawan, both participants in the 2014 GosuCup SEA finals.

Leoz had already beaten some formidable opponents in the previous rounds, most notably fellow Vietnamese Hovati16, India’s most prominent player Gcttirth and Filipino old-timer Zadkiel but Nyiknyuknyek’s results were just as prominent, having defeated Kambras14 and the terror of SEA WaningMoon. It was going to be a thunderous battle of giants.

Surprisingly, the battle ended in a very quick manner. A Druid/Warlock/Warrior composition of zGGLeoz completely blew Nyik out of the water, even beating his Druid with his Warrior in the final game in what is generally a quite unfavorable match-up for Garrosh.

The win yesterday bring zGGLeoz $300 as well as 20 world championship points, while Nyik will take home $100 and 10 points as the runner-up.
