14 new Blackrock Mountain cards revealed

Blizzard are currently running a stream which is supposed to reveal the rest of the Blackrock Mountain set. Come watch and see what gets shown!

Thoughts on first batch:

Both Dragons shown look insane. Chromaggus sounds like a must-include in control deck and if you keep him alive for a turn or two, the value generated will be immense. Dragon Consort, on the other hand, shines in that its effect is a Battlecry one - you can't silence it, can't remove it and it doesn't have an expiration clock. The combo of T5 Consort into T6 Chromaggues is, from my point of view, disgustingly strong.

Solemn Vigil is a card I'm on the fense about. I've been sceptical towards most of the cost-reduction cards in the set with the exception of the absurd [card]Volcanic Drake[/card]. The least you should aim for is kill two minions to get an [card]Arcane Intellect[/card]. With the hero power of Paladin that doesn't seem to be too hard to accomplish but I rather see it in action before I pass judgement.

Emperor Thaurissan is a card I personally like, especially for control decks. The effect comes at the end of the turn, so its guaranteed at least one cost reduction, and potentially more. As for Fireguard Destroyer, it sounds extremely strong on paper. And I believe it will be pwoerful in practice as well.

Thoughts on second batch:

I feel like not liking either of the Druid cards, or the Hunter one. Druid is a not a class that kills minions so I don't see Volcanic Lumberer replacing the Ancients or even [card]Sunwalker[/card] in ramps. Druid of the Flame seems cool but, again, I'd rather play a [card]Shade of Naxxramas[/card] on T3 than a 2/5 minion.

I like the Priest cards way more. I've been waiting for a reanimation effect on Priest for a long time so it's good to see it coming with BRM. Obviously, being random isn't as great but maybe control Priests that are chock full of expensive cards and legendaries will make use of it.

Gang Up and Majordomo sounds extremely fun. The fact that you can actually Gang Up on an enemy minion and get, like, 3x [card]Dr Boom[/card] is something I want to do, just so that people can hate me more.

Thoughts on third batch:

We have two mass removals here. The Warrior rubs me the wrong way as it's basically a late game card and your curve is already pretty filled up on that. Maybe a new weapon warrior might come along, though, and the [card]Hellfire[/card] effect can help clean minions off the board, but still, not the best of cards just by looking at it.

The mini-[card]Hellfire[/card] of Warlock called Demonwrath I like more. Demon decks have been gaining a lot of popularity and I can see this card fitting in. It can come right after [card]Imp-losion[/card] making for insane trades. I definitely want to play this in a Demon tribal, that's for sure.
