Ek0p, TidesofTime, Forsen, Kungen, ThatsAdmirable and StrifeCro survive a night full of upsets as they move to Deck Wars Finals' group stage. Tonight, a champion shall be crowned.
Upsets galore coloured day one of the Deck Wars S1 Finals as fan favorites fell one after another, defying community's predictions. The tournament began with Kungen upsetting Amaz 3-2, coming back from a 1-2 deficit and turning it around with a strong Handlock play. The Gul'Dan control was the star in series #2 as well, as DogeHouse's Ek0p blanked ladder king Kolento of Managrind, 3-0'ing his Shaman, Rogue and Druid.
Arguably the biggest surprise for the night came in match three as Curse's Savjz didn't win a single game against Clarity captain ThatsAdmirable, losing three in a row to his mid-range Shaman. Savjz's team-mate Alchemixt soon followed him out of the tournament, losing to Managrind's Forsen who packed a strong control Warrior and a miracle Rogue to seal the deal.
US mirrors closed day one as GosuRankings leader StrifeCro 3-1'd Clarity's newest recruit Chakki. The last series of the day saw Monk lose 2-3 to TidesofTime in what was arguably the match of the tournament so far, featuring great plays, comeback and one particularly nail-biting Warrior mirror.

Tonight, the last seven matches of the tournament will be played out. Two three-man round robin groups will determine the grand finalists who will then move on to play a Bo7 closing match before splitting the $1,500 prize purse.
