Dwan out 16th in $5k PLO, Many Top Players Left

Tom Dwan has played the most events so far at the 2011 World Series of Poker. He has played in 26 of 28 possible events. Dwan finished in 16th in the $5k buy-in 6-max Pot Limit Omaha event for his deepest run yet at this year's WSOP and a $23,519 cash.

It was reported that Dwan was playing a very loose style all Day 2, playing literally every hand. His chip stack swung wildly throughout the day. He was in the top 3 chip stacks when he busted good friend David Benefield but lost a couple big pots soon after. His last hand came against Jason Mercier's dominating AA94 double suited hand.

Joining Dwan on the rail at the end of the day were prominent players Erick Lindgren who went out in 17th and Vanessa Selbst, an early chip leader, in 18th. Layne Flack, Jeffrey Lisandro, Isaac Baron, David Benefield, and Hack Dang also cashed.

Action will resume Wednesday at 2:30 pm, with blinds at 6,000-12,000. The remaining fifteen players will all be chasing the bracelet and the large first place prize of $619,575.

2008 WPT World Champion David Chiu sits second in chips behind WPT winner Gregory Brooks with gifted tournament specialists Michael "Timex" McDonald and Jason Mercier lurking nearby.

Final 15 chip stacks:
