19 Year-Old Norwegian Nergard Leads Into Day 3 of EPT Grand Final

After the money bubble burst on Day 2 of the European Poker Tour - Grand Final €10,000 buy-in main event in Madrid, Ole-Kristian Nergard, the 19-year-old Norwegian still finds himself in the lead with 104 players remaining at the Casino Gran Madrid.

Heading into day 3, Ole-Kristian Nergard leads with 726,000 in chips with Kristoffer "Sumpas" Thorsson following close behind with 701,500.

Notables like Melanie Weisner (543,500), William Reynolds (541,500), Victor Ramdin (494,500), Surinder Sunar (381,000) are all still in with healthy stacks.

Notables falling short of the money included Nam Le, Jason Mercier, Marcel Luske, Humberto Brenes, Liv Boeree, Nenad Medic, last year’s champ Nicolas Chouity, Gregory Brooks, Roland de Wolfe, William Thorson, and Olivier Busquet.

The 686 players created a €6,860,000 prizepool with the top 104 players making the money and most importantly €1,500,000 reserved for first.

On Tuesday they will play down to 24 players, with everyone guaranteed at least €15,000.
