Aika Nakamura will be one of the characters “deeply involved in the protagonist’s daily life”.
Persona 4 Revival’s latest broadcast has unveiled further details about the upcoming remake of the popular ATLUS title. Aika Nakamura will make a new appearance in the game, although fans of the franchise will recognise her from Persona 4: The Animation. The broadcast also revealed the long-awaited Tohru Adachi sprite and his brief snippet has convinced fans that his original voice actor is returning.

Persona 4 Revival unveils news Social Link Aika Nakamura
According to the broadcast, Aika Nakamura is the daughter of the owners of Aiya, a Chinese restaurant in the Central Shopping District. She is laid-back by nature, the face of the restaurant, and also works as its delivery girl.
She has been unveiled as one of the characters who will be around the protagonist throughout Persona 4 Revival, alongside well-known characters Nanako Dojima, Ryotaro Dojima, and Tohru Adachi.
Adachi’s original voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch may return
The recent broadcast has also sparked new speculation within the community. While SEGA has stated that Persona 4 Revival will feature a brand-new cast, with new voices behind the main characters, many fans now believe Johnny Yong Bosch may be returning as the voice of Tohru Adachi.
Although it has not been officially disclosed who will voice Adachi in the upcoming game, the broadcast featured a snippet of his scene, and fans are convinced that the new Adachi sounds remarkably similar to Bosch.
“That HAS to be Johnny returning. But even if it isn't, whoever's voicing him is doing a damn good impression!” A comment on Reddit read.
The scene also officially revealed Adachi’s long-awaited sprite remake, the face portrait next to the dialogues. You can find Adachi’s reveal at the 4:58 mark of the broadcast.
Tohru Adachi is a young detective who recently transferred from Police HQ and assists Dojima in investigating the murders. He has a careless personality and is prone to oversharing. While he initially appears to be a minor character in Persona 4, he eventually becomes an important part of the murder mystery.
Persona 4 Revival is slated to release on 18 February 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam, with the Switch 2 version following on 20 May 2027.
