The next Serenity Forge visual novel, Faraday Blues, arrives in 2027.
Serenity Forge, the studio behind Doki Doki Literature Club and Slay the Princess, has announced its next dark visual novel: Faraday Blues. The game combines a sci-fi setting with strategic card gameplay and is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store next year.
The studio dropped a minute-long trailer during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show livestream, alongside details on what players can expect from the game. Watch the trailer below:

Faraday Blues asks players to rewrite fate across three timelines
Faraday Blues is a surreal sci-fi adventure about a daughter searching for parents who don't know she exists. Players will explore three different time periods, leading to dozens of possible endings across three interconnected visual novels.
Players will need to explore an apartment to find character cards, which can then be placed on a board to reset time and experience events from new perspectives. The game also features the concept of Entropy versus Order, allowing players to cause characters to behave unpredictably in future timelines. Players can also equip items such as salvaged memories to certain character cards, altering their decisions in future timelines.
“Choices made early in the story propagate across time, altering the board in 205X and 20XX. Navigate endings across many paths. Reach specific conditions to unlock the hidden fourth timeline, expose the motives of a suspicious trillionaire, and alter the universe forever,” Serenity Forge elaborated.
The game stars Nicole Goodnight, the voice of the Princess in Slay the Princess. Faraday Blues is also co-created by Satchely, the character artist behind Doki Doki Literature Club.
Faraday Blues will launch next year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
