Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s sequel, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, will launch in March next year.
Developer Team NINJA and publisher Koei Tecmo have unveiled the release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the sequel to 2023’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The sequel is set to launch on 4 March 2027 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Those eager to try the game can also dive into the ongoing alpha demo, which is available from now until 30 September.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember brings a sequel to the Fallen Dynasty
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is a sequel to Fallen Dynasty, but it puts players in the shoes of a new protagonist more than two decades after the events of the original game. In the first adventure, players took on the role of a “nobody” who was pulled into the events surrounding the creation of the Three Kingdoms. The sequel follows a similar journey from an unknown warrior to a hero, this time leading into the famous Battle of Red Cliffs.
Like its predecessor, Wo Long 2 will deliver an action role-playing experience that blends martial arts combat with soulslike elements. It presents a dark interpretation of China’s Later Han Dynasty, combining real historical figures and events with fictional demons and supernatural elements.
The sequel will introduce improved combat, more acrobatic movement, additional weapon types, larger battlefields, and new gameplay mechanics.
The demo for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is now playable
Players can also get an early taste of Wo Long 2’s gameplay right now, with nearly two weeks remaining before the alpha demo closes on 30 September. As per IGN, the demo will include a character creator (work-in-progress) and online multiplayer for up to three players. Players will be able to explore the open field of Changban, merge forces with Liu Bei's army to fend off the forces of Cao Cao and meet demons inspired by legendary Chinese classics.
Those who participate and complete the demo will earn the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet cosmetic item, which you can use in the full game after launch.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will launch globally on 4 March 2027 across all current-generation platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
