The Doom Marine came back haunted.
Call of Duty’s annual The Haunting event is returning on 18 September, bringing with it new multiplayer maps, more Zombies additions, and even more content to both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone. This year’s iteration of The Haunting will also be headlined by a crossover with another supernatural franchise: Doom.
The Doom Guy (or Doom Marine, or Doom Slayer, depending on the fan and the game) will appear in both his classic costume and his weathered Doom: The Dark Ages outfit, via the Doom Event Pass.
How to get Doom: The Dark Ages and Doom Marine cosmetics in Call of Duty: The Haunting
Before we get into The Haunting’s new content, let’s first talk about its Doom Event Pass. This limited-time mini battle pass allows players to unlock cosmetics and items from the id Software and Bethesda Softworks’ first-person shooter Doom franchise, including the Crucible Blade, Doom Shotgun, and the “Doom Slayer” himself as a new Operator.
When the event pass goes live, you can claim the following items for free on the Doom Event Pass’ free track simply by reaching XP milestones:

- 1-Hour Double Weapon XP Token
- “Daisy” Sticker
- “Demon Slaughter” Loading Screen

However, those who pay extra for the Doom Event Pass’ Premium Track will get access to a second set of fancier rewards:

The Doom Slayer is the titular Doom protagonist as he appears in Doom: The Dark Ages, whereas his “Doom Guy” skin is a fun callback to the original suit he wore in Doom (1993).
New content in Call of Duty: The Haunting 2026
There’s a ton of new content coming in this year’s Call of Duty: The Haunting event, for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. We’ll start with the new multiplayer maps, which include the following new additions:
- Quantum
- Bloodstead
- Roadkill
- Lost
- Inferno
Roadkill, Lost, and Inferno will be new maps for the limited-time mode T.E.D.D. Trials, which asks players to complete the most tasks in 6v6 teams across three Zombies-inspired maps. Black Ops 7 is also getting a new season of Multiplayer Ranked Play.
Now, onto the Zombies mode. The new Tenshu Survival map is being added, along with a new Starting Room: Directed Mode. Rogue Run is getting an update, and an all-new super Easter egg is available for players who have completed every main quest across all of Black Ops 7’s round-based Zombies maps.
As for Warzone, Haven’s Hollow has now been turned into a Halloween-themed Haunted Hollow area, and the 64-player Giant Infected mode has been added. New winstreak challenges and a shortened competitive season of Ranked Play: Resurgence are also being added.
Endgame’s Avalon is also getting a nighttime update to suit the festivities, along with a new world event called Forbidden Summoning that brings a spooky new guest to the map. In all of the aforementioned modes, a new battle pass, more challenges, and more in-game store items will also be added in the upcoming Season 6 update.
