New trailers for Mega Man: Dual Override and Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, wowee!
Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live officially returned this week for another two-hour livestream packed to the brim with trailers and announcements for upcoming games. The livestream kicks off Gamescom, an annual industry gaming convention and industry trade show held in Cologne, Germany. The event runs from 26–30 August, 2026.
This year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live stream was pretty huge, packing in new announcements for The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, Metro 2039, and Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, among many other reveals. In case you missed it, here are all of the event’s biggest announcements and trailers:
Mega Man: Dual Override
Mega Man: Dual Override got a brand-new gameplay trailer, showing off two previously-unseen characters: Proto Man and Twinkle Girl. The latter is a new character in the franchise.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons
This new Dungeons & Dragons game got its first gameplay reveal at Gamescom, showing off its titular warlock and fantasy world.
Exodus
This Mass Effect-like game now has a release date, launching later in 2027.
