HoYoverse’s cosy life sim is getting closer to launch, with pre-registration now available across more platforms.
HoYoverse is having a big night at Gamescom Opening Night Live, showcasing another upcoming project during the show. Petit Planet, HoYoverse’s new cosy, free-to-play life simulator, is releasing in Winter 2026.
Pre-registration for Petit Planet has also expanded ahead of its Winter 2026 launch. Players can now register through the game’s Google Play and Apple App Store listings, alongside the existing option to sign up with a HoYoverse account through the official website.
HoYoverse is also preparing one final beta test before release.

What is Petit Planet?
Petit Planet is a free-to-play life sim centred on decorating, crafting, gathering and taking things at a relaxed pace, putting it in familiar territory for players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Stardew Valley, Pokémon Pokopia and other cosy games. The big difference is the scale: rather than looking after a farm or village, players are responsible for developing an entire planet.
As a “Planet Tender,” players are given a small world of their own and gradually bring it to life through the activities available across the game.
HoYoverse first revealed Petit Planet in 2025, and the game has gone through two closed beta tests since then. GosuGamers took part in the latest test last April, where we found plenty of charm in its cosy formula, even if some parts still needed polishing.
Much of the game revolves around familiar cosy staples, including decorating, crafting, fishing, farming, gathering materials, cooking and befriending neighbours who can eventually be invited to live on the planet. Players can also travel beyond their own world to explore other planets.
These activities feed into the growth of the Luca Arbor at the centre of the planet. Players earn Luca in a bottle and pour it into the tree, gradually changing the world around them. As the Luca Arbor grows, new areas open up, new creatures appear and the planet slowly fills out.
