The Simpsons collaboration in Fortnite Reload also includes a surprise John Wick Simpsons reward.
Fortnite is bringing The Simpsons back into the game, this time through Reload mode, featuring the Springfield map, The Confidential as a brand-new POI, along with themed loot and weapons. Most excitingly, the crossover also includes a surprise guest: a Simpsons-inspired version of John Wick, available to unlock from 30 July.
What is in the new Fortnite x Simpsons crossover?
The Simpsons crossover brings the Springfield map to Reload. On it, you'll find The Confidential, a neutral zone with its own set of rules that pays homage to the Continental from the John Wick series.
Inside The Confidential, passive healing and proximity chat are enabled. Combat is prohibited, but if you do attack another player, you will instantly become Excommunicado and be marked as a target for everyone in the match. Only one player can be Excommunicado at a time.
An Excommunicado player receives unlimited stamina and faster reload speeds. However, they also carry a 1,500 Gold bounty and drop improved loot, encouraging other players to hunt them down.
In Reload, The Simpsons-themed loot also returns, featuring items such as the Super Squishee, Cobalt Slingshot, Mr. Blasty, Krusty's Mr. Blasty, Five-Gun, Deodorant Applicator, Blinky Fish, Krusty Burger, and Cartoon Chainsaw. A brand-new weapon, the Tactical Assault Rifle, also joins the pool.
Of course, the star of the show is none other than Mr Baba Yaga himself. John Wick makes a surprise appearance in the crossover as both a Simpsons-inspired Outfit and an adorable Sprite.
How to get the John Wick Simpsons skin in Fortnite
To unlock the John Wick Outfit, players must complete Reload quests and own the Battle Pass.
Players can also obtain the brand-new John Wick Sprite, which reveals nearby enemies to you and your squad for a few seconds after you knock or eliminate an opponent.
The John Wick Sprite can be equipped in Reload, where it is the only Sprite available in the mode, which can be equipped in Battle Royale once obtained. To get the John Wick Sprite, use the new Reload Portable Extractor gadget to extract it from an eliminated player who was carrying one, find it in standard or Sprite Chests, or simply win a match.
It is worth noting that the John Wick Sprite retains whatever level it had when you acquired it, whether that's Level 1 or a higher level, if a previous player had already levelled it up. Any other Sprites you have equipped from the lobby will not appear during Reload matches.
