Two elusive and must-have sets in the game have been discovered! Here's how to get them.
The vast ocean holds secrets aplenty, and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is proof of that. With more than 50 locations scattered across one vast stretch of deep blue sea, there are countless discoveries waiting for those willing to brave the waves.
Two of the most elusive treasures in the game (well, not anymore) are the legendary Captain Drake outfit and the Explorer Outfit. While the coordinates may have been shared on X earlier today, actually reaching them is another matter entirely. Fortunately, while charting the stormy waters of Contoyor in pursuit of an Anomaly to purge, a healthy dose of luck, curiosity, and a pirate's instinct led us straight to both of them.
So hoist the colours, ready the Jackdaw, and follow this step-by-step guide to claim these hidden outfits for yourself.

How to find the Captain Drake outfit in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
The Captain Drake outfit is inspired by the historical explorer Sir Francis Drake, best known for completing the second circumnavigation of the world in a single expedition.

To get the outfit, you need to head to Sacrifice Island (18,547). Be prepared, because the journey takes you through some of the roughest waters in the game, with violent storms and almost zero visibility.
When you arrive at Sacrifice Island, drop anchor and make your way to 23,552, where you'll find the first chest hidden underwater.
I actually stumbled across this set completely by accident. I stopped at Sacrifice Island simply to escape the storm, but while exploring the island, I caught the attention of a group of Spaniards. Diving into the sea to make my escape, I quite literally found treasure beneath the waves. That's about as pirate as it gets.
The next reward is Drake's Rare Swords, which deal 38 damage. They're located at 15,550, although getting there is a bit more challenging. First, you'll have to watch out for a jaguar, whose attacks can wipe out nearly half your health. Then there are the Spaniards patrolling the island.

The easiest route is to drop anchor at 12,548 and head for the shore. The coastline is mostly cliffs, so follow the shoreline until you spot a set of steps leading towards what appears to be some Mayan ruins. Rather than climbing up the main entrance, where the Spaniards are waiting, turn left instead. You'll find another set of steps leading up to a narrow ledge.

From there, you'll need to complete a short platforming section across the Mayan ruins and a few trees before reaching another ledge. There, beside a dead body, you'll find the chest containing Drake's Rare Swords.
How to find the Explorer Outfit in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
The Explorer Outfit lies much farther from civilisation, where you need to sail the seas of Chinchorro, avoid or capture its fort, before you reach almost in the middle of nowhere near Corozal (17,239).

If you're further into the story, this trip is much easier, since your Jackdaw will probably be fully upgraded and capable of taking on tougher ships. But if you're exploring every island before progressing through the campaign, you'll have a much trickier voyage ahead.
So, if you're feeling a little too eager to get your hands on the Explorer Outfit instead of waiting for calmer seas, you'll need to overcome a few obstacles first.

Two heavily armed ships guard the entrance to the cove, both equipped with multiple cannons. Trying to sail straight past them isn't recommended, as they'll spot you almost immediately. Unless your Jackdaw is ready for a full naval engagement, you're unlikely to survive the encounter.
Since the cove offers very little room to escape, you have two choices: return later with a stronger ship, or embrace your inner pirate.

Drop anchor well outside their patrol route and swim, yes, actually swim, all the way to Corozal. Once ashore, synchronise at the viewpoint. After that, fast travel back to the Jackdaw, carefully slip past the nearest ship, and sail towards 28,292, just behind a small rocky island. Drop anchor once more, dive beneath the surface, and claim the Explorer Outfit from the chest waiting below.
Fun fact: the Explorer Outfit was originally intended to be revealed later as one of Assassin's Creed's Community Chests through the official social media accounts. However, Reddit user Holliday happened to discover it early, beating everyone to the prize.
"Finding it was honestly by pure chance," Holliday said when someone asked how they chanced upon the rarest treasure. "I glanced at my map after taking a naval contract, and just how the area looked on the map piqued my interest enough to go check it out."
Holliday explained that they dropped anchor and jumped into the water, where "I immediately saw air bubbles and could not believe my eyes once I spotted what was inside."
“I was honestly briefly shaken with excitement since I knew it was highly sought after and didn't believe anyone had found it yet,” the Redditor concluded in their reply.
Whether you're chasing rare cosmetics, hunting down every hidden chest, or simply refusing to leave a single patch of ocean unexplored, these two outfits are well worth adding to your collection. Now that you know where they're hidden, all that's left is to weigh anchor, trust your compass, and see what other secrets the Caribbean is still keeping below deck. Fair winds, captain.
