Where Winds Meet
Release Date: 27 December 2024
Platforms: PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
Developer: Everstone Studio
What is the Homestead system in Where Winds Meet?
Set to launch in Version 1.8, the Homestead system invites Wanderers back to Qinghe, a land where they were once raised, but has since fallen into ruin. Players are tasked with restoring the Blissful Retreat village and rebuilding the estate from the ground up.
With the Homestead system, the game will put both your management skills and creativity to the test. Players can recruit locals as estate workers and gradually expand the community by constructing inns, rebuilding porcelain kilns, brewing wine, farming, and trading.
Participating in Homestead activities will reward players with a new exclusive currency that can be exchanged for free rewards in the Homestead Shop. One of the featured rewards is the Summer's Blush Outfit.
Players will also be able to showcase their creativity to other Wanderers, as the game will allow them to design, display, and share their uniquely customised residences. This feature is scheduled to arrive in a subsequent update in July.
What is the pet system in Where Winds Meet?

Where Winds Meet is making sure players won't be alone in their crafting journey. The game will introduce interactive cats and geese, with three cats named Maverick, Scar, and Pudding arriving in the first week, followed by a goose named Goldie in the second week.
These companions feature dynamic behaviours, set to react naturally to weather changes and world events. Players will also be able to interact with them beyond simple gestures, including dressing them up and engaging in various nurturing activities.
Increasing your bond with companions will unlock rewards such as custom outfits, specialised emotes, interactive actions, and an exclusive "Cute Master" player title.
The Where Winds Meet team has also confirmed that pet combat and a dedicated battle system are currently in development for a future update.
What limited-time events are coming to Where Winds Meet Version 1.8?
Several new events will be introduced in Version 1.8, giving players plenty of opportunities to grind for materials and currencies.
On 25 June, the Martial Path Domain will open to players Level 60 and above. The activity will challenge experienced Wanderers to conquer 20 increasingly difficult floors in exchange for valuable materials and currency rewards. Top-ranking players will also earn exclusive Hero Titles.
Another limited-time event, Tomb Raiders, will launch on the same day. This PvPvE casual mode allows players to earn event points that can be exchanged for high-value rewards, including a rare purple mount.
Next month, two additional events will arrive. The Phantom Thief Goose launches on 3 July, placing players in the role of Goose Bo. Using its unique goose-themed abilities–including honking, pecking, and stealth attacks–players must battle enemies and attempt to infiltrate Heaven's Pier to earn event rewards.
On 10 July, the second edition of the Jianghu Martial Games will begin, introducing three mini-games that reward players with the limited-time Dangling Carrot Outfit and other exclusive cosmetics.
