Who is Where Winds Meet’s new action consultant, Yuen Woo-ping?

Joining the Where Winds Meet team as action consultant is Yuen Woo-ping, a renowned filmmaker best known for his influential work in martial arts choreography.

Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in martial arts cinema, including Jackie Chan in Drunken Master, Jet Li in Tai Chi Master, and Donnie Yen in Iron Monkey, among many other films. He also served as the martial arts choreographer behind iconic productions such as The Matrix, Kill Bill, and Kung Fu Hustle.

Now 80 years old, Yuen has built an extensive career spanning decades, with his first directing credit dating back to 1978. However, it appears he is still eager to take on new challenges, as he brings his martial arts expertise into the world of video games. He is set to guide the Where Winds Meet team on the game’s combat.

The Yuen Clan to work on motion capture for Where Winds Meet

The Yuen Clan is also set to contribute through motion capture work. This martial arts creative team consists of Yuen himself and his six siblings. They are all children of the classic martial arts figure Siu Tien Yuen, who was the founder of the Yuen Clan, and a prominent action star during the late 1970s.
