Dress to Impress? Gnarly.
Popular Roblox dress-up game, Dress to Impress, has officially announced a collaboration with girl group KATSEYE, arriving in just three days. The crossover features all six members of the group: Sophia, Daniela, Yoonchae, Lara, Megan and Manon–despite the latter's ongoing hiatus from the group. Players can expect not only new outfits, but also a revamped lobby, updated logo, and a full visual refresh to welcome KATSEYE to the runway.
The Roblox collab event, titled DTI x KATSEYE, has already attracted more than 1.6 million interested players, with fans turning on notifications to swarm into the game as soon as the crossover launches. KATSEYE will officially arrive in Dress to Impress at 11:00 PM SGT on Saturday, 18 April.
As a fun teaser, the DTI team has launched a 28-second clip featuring KATSEYE in their Roblox avatars performing the hit Gnarly dance.
Dress to Impress is a Roblox game launched in late 2023, in which players dress up to a given theme and after the timer runs out, all players in the lobby vote for each other’s fit–with the podium runners earning rewards.
With tons of different clothing fits, including make up and hairstyle, plus unique patterns and poses to choose from–players can get real creative with what they produce on the runway. Add in a mix of collaboration items, and the combination expands incredibly.
What is included in the DTI x KATSEYE collaboration?
The outfits teased so far appear to represent different KATSEYE eras, featuring iconic looks inspired by songs Gnarly, Gabriella, Gameboy and more. Players will likely receive signature hairstyles, make-up options and clothing pieces. There is also hope for animation packs featuring KATSEYE dance moves, although this has not been confirmed.
Clothing items have already been confirmed, with around 12 individual pieces set to be added to the game. Further details have not yet been revealed and are expected to surface closer to launch.
The major collaboration also arrives just as Dress to Impress approaches the milestone of 10 billion total visits on Roblox. Although no specific celebration plans have been announced yet, the DTI team have promised ‘something special’ given they have the capacity and time to work on it.
Who is KATSEYE?
KATSEYE is a global girl group created by entertainment giant HYBE, home to major K-pop acts such as BTS and TXT. Formed in June 2024, the group quickly found success in the English-songs market while blending K-pop influences into both their concept and performances. They released the viral hit Gnarly, followed by their most successful track to date, Gabriella, last year. More recently, they performed their new song Pinky Up at music festival Coachella.
What other DTI collaborations are there?
The dress-up hit Dress to Impress has previously hosted several major collaborations, including with Lady Gaga, who logged into the game to play with users, Charli xcx’s Bratz theme entering the game, and Wicked-themed content bringing elaborate Glinda and Elphaba costumes to the selection.
