Goddess of Victory: NIKKE will be collaborating with Lycoris Recoil, marking the game's third collab event with an anime.
Popular sci-fi gacha game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has announced its next major collaboration will be with the award-winning anime Lycoris Recoil. NIKKE publisher Level Infinite and developer SHIFT UP announced that Lycoris Recoil agents Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue will enter the world of NIKKE as playable characters, complete with their signature fighting styles adapted for the battlefield, on 12 February.
Aside from the two Lycoris Recoil agents taking the field in NIKKE as playable characters, the collaboration will also include a brand-new story event that explores the intersection of the Lycoris agents and the Nikkes as they join forces to face a common threat. The signature red lycoris flowers and the motifs of Café LycoReco from the anime, rendered in NIKKE's signature gritty art style, will also feature prominently in the event.
Lycoris Recoil fits in nicely with NIKKE's setting, where the survival of humanity in a post-apocalyptic future rests on artificial soldiers called Nikkes. Lycoris Recoil follows Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, a pair of orphaned teenage girls, following their recruitment into a secretive organisation to serve as assassins all while they attempt to continue living normal lives by working in a local cafe.
In 2023, Lycoris Recoil notably took home the Best Original Anime award during the 7th Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
More detailed character stats, unique skills, and specific mission rewards for Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue's NIKKE versions are set to be revealed on the official NIKKE website and social media channels in the coming days.
NIKKE's first major collaboration of 2026 will be with Lycoris Recoil
The NIKKE-Lycoris Recoil collaboration will be the game's first major crossover event of 2026 after a packed year of collabs in 2025. Last February, NIKKE was featured in a themed DLC for the 2024 Souls-inspired action hit Stellar Blade. NIKKE then launched its own Stellar Blade collab event in June, where Stellar Blade characters EVE, Raven, and Lily were added to the NIKKE roster.
In September, NIKKE also collaborated with Capcom's Resident Evil franchise by adding iconic Resident Evil characters Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Claire Redfield as playable characters.
NIKKE's latest collab with Lycoris Recoil also marks the game's third collab with an anime franchise. NIKKE had its first anime collab with the popular Chainsaw Man franchise in February 2023, followed by Re:Zero in March 2024, and Neon Genesis Evangelion in August 2024.
