ASUS confirms RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB are not discontinued amid supply shortages

RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB are not dead, but tracking down stock may be tricky.

ASUS has moved to clear up confusion surrounding its GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB cards, confirming that neither model has been discontinued or placed into end-of-life status. In a statement published via the ASUS Press Room, the company stressed that it has no plans to stop selling these models, despite reports suggesting otherwise.

“Certain media may have received incomplete information from an ASUS PR representative regarding these products,” the statement reads. “Current fluctuations in supply for both products are primarily due to memory supply constraints, which have temporarily affected production output and restocking cycles. As a result, availability may appear limited in certain markets, but this should not be interpreted as a production halt or product retirement," the statement emphasised.

The statement ends with ASUS reaffirming that they will "continue to support the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and is working closely with partners to stabilize supply as conditions improve.”

Availability is limited, not ended

The clarification comes after reporting from Hardware Unboxed suggested that ASUS had placed its RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB cards into end-of-life status due to low memory supply. Retailers in some markets, including Australia, told the channel they were unable to source the cards from distributors or partners, which contributed to confusion about the models’ future.

Hardware Unboxed later clarified that ASUS did not suggest NVIDIA had discontinued the RTX 5070 Ti itself. NVIDIA also addressed the situation in statements to Engadget, confirming that while demand for GeForce RTX GPUs remains strong, memory supply constraints have affected availability. ASUS’s new statement now confirms that the cards themselves are still very much active, and production has not stopped, but it might be difficult to find in other regions.

For many PC gamers, it might be a relief to know that the RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB are still very much part of ASUS’s lineup, though temporary supply issues may make them tricky to track down. So, if you’ve been looking for one of these cards and have come up empty-handed, you’re not alone.
