Players can soon battle alongside their Pals in a new trading card game.
Palworld is officially making the jump into physical tabletop games. During the Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation 2026 on 12 January, Bushiroad confirmed the release date for Palworld Official Card Game, a new trading card game currently in development by Pocketpair. The game is scheduled to launch worldwide on 30 July, 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a teaser video and early details outlining the game’s direction. Designed as a two-player competitive trading card game, the Palworld Card Game is built directly on Pocketpair’s IP, and aims to translate the systems and themes of the original game into a card-based format.
According to Pocketpair, the game is designed around strategic battles and direct cooperation with Pals. In the official description, Pocketpair states: “This game is a 2-player competitive card game where you can enjoy strategic and tactical battles through deploying various unique Pals.” Players will fight alongside their Pal companions while managing resources and developing their presence on the board as part of their path to victory.

The official blurb further explains how Pals function within the game’s structure. “Players fight alongside their Pal companions, gathering resources, and building bases as they aim for victory,” with each Pal bringing distinct traits that influence gameplay. Pocketpair adds that “these adorable and dependable Pals will utilize their own unique traits to lead you to victory,” reinforcing the idea that individual card abilities will play a central role in deck strategy.
Combat against hostile threats is also a key focus. “Team up with your trusty Pals and experience the thrill of overcoming formidable enemies through this exciting trading card game,” the studio states, suggesting that survival pressure and danger, which are core themes of Palworld, are being carried over into the card game’s ruleset.
Bushiroad also confirmed that collectibility is a major component of the launch. Every card included in Set 1 will feature newly-created artwork, rather than reused assets from the video game. Teaser visuals revealed redesigned versions of well-known Pals such as Lifmunk, Rooby, and Jormuntide, reimagined specifically for the trading card format.
At launch, the Palworld Official Trading Card Game will support Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese editions. No Korean language version has been announced at this time. Platform details, including whether or not a digital version is planned, have also not yet been confirmed.
The Palworld Official Trading Card Game is set to release worldwide on Thursday, 30 July, 2026, with further details, including full rules and product breakdowns, expected to be shared through official channels in the lead-up to launch.
