Avowed is officially coming to PlayStation 5
Avowed, Obsidian’s action-RPG spin-off of the Pillars of Eternity series, is coming to PlayStation 5. Pre-orders for the game on PlayStation 5 are now live, as the game looks to launch just one year after its Xbox Series X|S and PC release. The game will join other first-party Xbox games on the PS5, including recent releases like Doom: The Dark Ages and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
That isn’t all Obsidian has planned for Avowed’s one-year anniversary, however. The game is also getting a free update on 17 February, consisting of a few long-awaited features. These features include a Photo Mode, a New Game Plus mode, a new weapon type, the ability to change your appearance in the overworld, and three new playable races: Aumaua, Orlan, and Dwarves.
This update will launch alongside the PlayStation 5 version of Avowed, with the new content being available for free for all current owners of the game. Avowed launches on PlayStation 5 on 17 February, 2025. The game is also currently available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
