Two Tomb Raider games were announced back-to-back.
The Game Awards 2025 played host to not one, but two back-to-back Tomb Raider game reveals. It looks like Lara Croft is set for a major comeback, starring in both Tomb Raider: Catalyst and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, launching in 2027 and 2026, respectively. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a remake of the first Tomb Raider game (1996), while Tomb Raider: Catalyst is a full reboot of the franchise.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (2026)
Lara Croft stars in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, launching next year. The game remakes the original Tomb Raider adventure, taking players to the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island shrouded in myth, as they search for broken pieces of the Scion.
Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are developing this upcoming title, which is meant for newcomers and veteran fans of the franchise.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst (2027)
Tomb Raider: Catalyst officially launches in 2027, as the next big main installment in the franchise. Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics are co-developing the title, with Alix Wilton Regan voicing the lead role as Lara Croft. This is meant to be a fresh reboot of the franchise, following up on 2026’s Legacy of Atlantis.
