Resident Evil Requiem officially reveals Leon S. Kennedy as second playable character
Capcom has officially confirmed two playable characters for Resident Evil Requiem, amid intense fan speculation and leaks leading up to this week’s reveal. The survival-horror sequel will feature Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy as dual protagonists.
Resident Evil Requiem returns to an all-but-annihilated version of Raccoon City, following its nuking at the end of Resident Evil 2. It would be a shame if Leon S. Kennedy wasn’t involved in its big comeback, but thankfully he is indeed returning; albeit at the age of 50. Resident Evil Requiem is set a hefty 30 years after Resident Evil 2, after all.
The trailer teases what players can expect from the upcoming game: action-packed combat, courtesy’s advanced skill and experience when it comes to dispatching zombies and monsters. He once again goes up against a chainsaw zombie in this game. Just like old times, eh?
Resident Evil Requiem launches on 27 February, 2026.
