Arc Raiders’ Hidden Bunker disabled by Embark after players keep abusing glitch

Some Raiders really can’t resist breaking into things.

Arc Raiders’ mysterious Hidden Bunker event has been taken offline after players found a way to bypass its intended puzzle and dive straight into the loot room. Embark Studios pulled the plug earlier today, shutting the event off across the game.

Studio steps in after out-of-bounds exploit spreads

The confirmation came through the official Discord server, where a studio representative told players, "We have temporarily disabled Hidden Bunker from the rotation to prevent unfair exploits while we are working on a fix. In other news, the store has been updated with some new items."

Accessing the Hidden Bunker is meant to be a small adventure of its own under normal circumstances. When the event appears on the Spaceport map, players must activate four antenna terminals to open a bunker door located southwest of the Departure Building. It’s not exactly quick, which is why guides exist just to help newcomers reach the entrance the proper way.

But instead of following the steps, players discovered they could hurl themselves out of bounds and effectively trick the game into respawning them inside the bunker. With the right angle and a bit of physics abuse, the puzzle became irrelevant, and unfortunately, the exploit spread fast.

This isn’t the first time Arc Raiders has had to crack down on unintended shortcuts. The game has already seen players glitch their way into keycard-locked loot rooms, slip past doors, and break areas that were meant to be secure. At some point, Embark creatively made a way to punish glitchers by literally incinerating their characters if they glitched into a locked room. The Hidden Bunker simply joined a growing list of locations being overrun by creative problem-solving.

With the event now removed from rotation, players will have to wait until Embark issue a fix. And when the bunker finally comes back, here’s hoping it’s not just harder to break, but also a little more rewarding for anyone who goes through the effort of opening it the legitimate way.
