The second part of the Jungle Biome update has arrived in Roblox's 99 Nights, introducing a new monster, location, and more!
Roblox’s hit 99 Nights in the Forest, often simply called 99 Nights, continues to deliver with its weekly weekend updates. Last Sunday, the game launched the Jungle Part 2 update, introducing a new cat monster and a massive Colosseum-like Fighting Pit to the map.
If you missed the first update, here is a quick overview of what was added. The Jungle Part 1 update introduced the lush and realistically loud Jungle Biome, filled with both new and returning inhabitants, including Frogs (from the Frog Invasion event), Boars, and Jungle Cultists.
This first update also added the Jungle Temple and Mother Temple, two expansive and challenging locations to explore. These areas contain new loot sources such as the Jungle Chest and Vine Chest, though they are often heavily guarded by traps.
Now, let’s take a look at the second part of this tropical update.
Everything new in the Jungle Part 2 update in 99 Nights

The second part of the update introduces a dangerous new monster called The Cat. This black, slender feline is highly aggressive and can pounce onto a targeted location–highlighted in red–allowing you to dodge before it pounces. Because of this ability, players can no longer rely on juking the monster or hiding behind tall structures. So, you'd better retreat to your base before you risk wasting a bandage!
Like other monsters in the game, The Cat is tied to a specific biome–in this case, the Jungle Biome. If the Volcanic Biome (which spawns The Ram) or the Snow Biome (which spawns The Owl) appears instead, the Jungle Biome and The Cat will not spawn.
The Jungle Biome can now also spawn the Mossy Mammoth. While it is aesthetically different from other mammoths, it drops essentially the same loot.

Another exciting addition in this update is the Fighting Pit. Hidden deep within the Jungle Biome, this gigantic arena can be activated–using a red button in the middle of the area–to start wave-based combat challenges.
This challenge feels a lot like clearing the Stronghold–only much harder. Inside the pit, players must fight off waves of Jungle Cultists and Boars. To make things even tougher, players are not allowed to leave the arena during the challenge, as doing so will reset the event entirely.
Completing the challenge rewards players with several valuable items, including the Gem of the Forest, Cultist Gems, Jungle Chests, and a brand-new Log Wall Recipe Tablet. This tablet unlocks new building options, allowing players to construct Poisoned Log Walls.
Other than that, the Jungle Part 2 update also added scattered structures across the biome, which hold small loot like scrap supplies.
