World of Warcraft's Midnight expansion officially launches in March 2026

The Void is stirring again, and Azeroth’s next battle begins at Midnight.

Blizzard have confirmed the global release details for World of Warcraft: Midnight, setting a co-ordinated worldwide launch for 2 March, 2026 at 3:00 PM PST / 7:00 AM SGT (3 March SGT). 

The expansion marks the return of Xal’atath, the Harbinger, and the spread of the Void across Azeroth, continuing the storyline set up in The War Within. A new trailer was also released on YouTube:

Housing early access opens on 2 December, ahead of Midnight’s release

Blizzard will open Housing Early Access on 2 December 2025 at 3:00 PM PST / 7:00 AM SGT (3 December SGT) through the “The Warning” Midnight Prologue update. 

Players who have purchased any edition of Midnight can join a neighbourhood, choose a house, and begin personalising their space with a limited selection of available items.

Players without the expansion can still begin collecting Housing items through gameplay activities, achievements, and vendors throughout Azeroth, though the ability to place and build will require a Midnight purchase.

Midnight edition breakdown and included bonuses

Blizzard have also confirmed the contents of each Midnight edition, outlining what players receive depending on the version they purchase.

Epic Edition

Contains all Heroic Edition items, plus Beta Access, three days Early Access to Midnight, 30 Days of Game Time, the Hopeflutter and Doomfeathers pets, the Voidlight Surger flying mount with appearance-shifting effects, the Voidwing Dragonhawk mount, the Voidstrider Raiment transmog set, and the Midnight Housing Pack (Rotundas, Fountains, and four character Paintings). This also includes 2,000 Trader’s Tender.

Heroic Edition

Includes all Base Edition features, the Lightwing Dragonhawk flying mount, the Lightstrider Raiment transmog set, and 1,000 Trader’s Tender.

Base Edition

Includes The War Within expansion, early access to Housing, an Enhanced Level 80 Character Boost with upgraded gear and reputation progress, and 500 Trader’s Tender.

With dates, access windows, and edition contents now confirmed, players can prepare for the rollout beginning in December as Blizzard moves toward the Midnight expansion’s global launch in early March.
