Something old hums beneath the surface, calling the Raiders north.
Embark Studios have just launched the latest major update for ARC Raiders, titled The North Line, which expands the frontier beyond Speranza and opens the way to an entirely new region.
Released today, 13 November 2025, the update introduces a community event, new enemies, new gameplay items, and the much-anticipated Stella Montis map. Details on the update were posted on the Arc Raiders official website.
Breaking New Ground launches to reconnect Speranza’s tunnels
Beneath Speranza lies a vast network of tunnels, many of which have been sealed off for years. The trailer suggests that something or someone may have deliberately blocked the tunnels. With today’s release, players can now take part in the community unlock event “Breaking New Ground”, joining forces to restore these tunnels and reconnect lost parts of the world.
Raiders must gather and donate Basic Materials, including Metal Parts, Fabric, Chemicals, Rubber Parts, and Plastic Parts, to progress the tunnel restoration. Any player who has completed at least five rounds can contribute to the project.
Participation will grant Merits, a new event currency that fuels the next phase of progression. While there’s a limit to how many Merits can be earned per player, further contributions will accelerate Speranza’s path towards uncovering Stella Montis, the fifth major map in ARC Raiders.
The Northern Frontier: Stella Montis
Once the community’s efforts culminate in the tunnel restoration, Stella Montis will be unlocked. Carved deep into the northern mountains, this frigid and mysterious facility stands in stark contrast to the debris-strewn Rust Belt. Its sterile corridors and untouched machinery hint at what humanity left behind in its pursuit of the stars.
With Stella Montis comes Phase II, titled “Staking Our Claim,” a new limited-time progression track offering personal rewards, challenges, and opportunities for Raiders to prove themselves until December.

The North Line update doesn’t stop at exploration. It also introduces two formidable new ARC machines and a suite of fresh combat tools.
New ARC enemies
- Matriarch: a towering and relentless machine that makes the Queen look tame, appearing only under specific map conditions.
- Shredder: first encountered within Stella Montis, this agile ARC excels in close-quarters combat.

Raiders who brave the northern facility will uncover rare resources, powerful gear, and potentially schematics for long-lost technology.
What’s next: Cold Snap in December
Embark Studios confirmed that The North Line marks just the start of ARC Raiders’ post-launch roadmap. The next major update, Cold Snap, is slated for December 2025, bringing the “Flickering Flames” event, a new snowfall Map Condition, and the long-awaited Expedition Project Raider reset, alongside additional gameplay improvements.
As Speranza pushes northward and new threats emerge, the Raiders’ mission grows ever more vital. With The North Line now live and Stella Montis on the horizon, there’s plenty for Raiders to uncover.
