There's no stopping Arc Raiders as it sets new concurrent player record on Steam

It’s Arc Raiders’ world, and we’re just living in it.

Embark Studios’ PvPvE extraction shooter Arc Raiders has proven to be immensely popular since its launch on 30 October. The game peaked at 354,836 concurrent players on Steam during its first launch weekend, only to break that record almost immediately, with 462,488 concurrent players the very next weekend.

With almost half a million Steam users playing Arc Raiders over the weekend, the game has even managed to surpass Battlefield 6 in concurrent player numbers.

Arc Raiders breaks concurrent player record

Embark Studios’ extraction shooter Arc Raiders is doing rather well for itself. The game managed to break 462,488 players on Steam over the weekend (via SteamDB), breaking its previous peak concurrent player record on the platform. These are rather big numbers for a new extraction shooter, and it shows no signs of slowing down yet.

The game even managed to beat one of Steam’s most popular games at the moment, Battlefield 6, in player numbers. As of today (10 November), Arc Raiders has a 24-hour peak concurrent player count of over 462,000 players, while Battlefield 6 has over 441,000. Arc Raiders also has over 300,000 players right now, while Battlefield 6 has over 260,000.

Regardless of whether it sustains this momentum, Arc Raiders has had a truly impressive debut. These Steam numbers don’t take into account the game’s performance on other platforms including consoles, which means that the game has many times more players than these numbers might lead you to believe.

Arc Raiders is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
