Elden Ring Nightreign's The Forsaken Hollows DLC launches this December

In Limveld, the light fades, but the hunt has only just begun.

Nightfarers can prepare for more content and action to come in Limveld. FromSoftware, the developer of Elden Ring: Nightreign has announced that The Forsaken Hollows, the first downloadable content (DLC) for Elden Ring Nightreign, will release on 4 December for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The expansion introduces two new playable characters and two formidable bosses, adding fresh challenges for players navigating the Lands Between.

Elden Ring Nightreign is a co-op action-survival game where up to three players can team up, selecting from a roster of unique characters to face overwhelming threats. Players explore an expansive open map over a tense three-day expedition, strengthening their characters in preparation for a climactic encounter with the Nightlord.

Since the game’s release in May 2025, FromSoftware has rolled out several updates, including enhanced bosses known as the Everdark Sovereigns and the high-difficulty Deep of Night mode, and with the new DLC, there's even more to dive into.

New playable characters and bosses

The Forsaken Hollows DLC adds two new nightfaring characters:

  • Scholar: An academic who navigates the Lands Between, utilising high arcane levels to gain battlefield advantages through careful observation.
  • Undertaker: An abbess tasked with slaying the Nightlord, combining impressive strength and faith to send enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency.

Players will also confront two new bosses in Limveld, and experience a new Shifting Earth event:

  • Shifting Earth: The Great Hollow: A vast cavity scattered with exotic ruins, temples, sacred towers from an ancient civilisation, and crystals exuding a cursed, life-draining miasma.

Pre-order incentives

Players who purchase The Forsaken Hollows DLC before its release on 3 December will receive the Elden Ring Nightreign digital artbook and mini soundtrack as downloadable apps, containing the same content included in the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Upgrade Pack. The artbook and soundtrack are made available immediately after purchase.

The DLC is included with the Collector’s Edition and Deluxe Edition of Elden Ring Nightreign. The base game is required to access The Forsaken Hollows, and duplicate purchases should be avoided, as the Deluxe Upgrade Pack will be renamed to The Forsaken Hollows DLC from 12 November, 2025.

With new characters, bosses, and pre-order bonuses, The Forsaken Hollows aims to expand the world of Elden Ring Nightreign and offer fresh experiences for players exploring Limveld.
