Having trouble with your in-game challenges? Here’s a solution.
Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios are introducing a new “relaxed way” for players to earn progression and complete challenges in Battlefield 6, via the new mode Casual Breakthrough. In this mode, players will be able to complete challenges more easily in semi bot-filled lobbies, which also feature slimmed-down 24-player teams.
Battlefield 6 adds Casual Breakthrough mode
Battlefield 6’s in-game challenges can sometimes be a little hard to complete within the chaos of large-scale matches like Conquest. When it comes to daily, weekly, and other challenge types like unit or weapon challenges, players are often tasked with mowing down waves of enemies with specific equipment.
To aid in the completion of these challenges, EA has introduced a new game mode for Battlefield 6: Casual Breakthrough. In this multiplayer mode, players will join smaller teams made up of 16 real players (eight per team) and 32 teammates/enemies (16 per team). That means two-thirds of a team will be made up of bots, making things a little easier for players with vehicle or weapon challenges to complete.
Career XP, Weapon XP, Battle Pass XP, and challenges will be attainable via this mode. However, players will only earn full XP from “real player actions,” and reduced XP from “bot actions.” That likely means that eliminating real players will grant you more XP.
Casual Breakthrough will be played on the Siege of Cairo and Empire State maps, but it won’t offer Dogtags, Accolades, or Career stat upgrades for players looking to finetune their player profiles. The mode is being looked at for future adjustments, following player feedback.
“Let us know what you think of the new mode,” EA said. "We'll be monitoring your feedback to determine if further adjustments are needed in the future. We'll see you there on the Battlefield!"
