Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition revealed during Fallout Day, launches on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

Fallout 4 is turning 10, and it’s bringing the whole vault with it.

Fallout fans have reason to dust off their Pip-Boys again. During its annual Fallout Day broadcast, Bethesda Softworks unveiled Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, a special release celebrating 10 years since the game’s original launch.

Fallout 4 gets its biggest update yet

Set for release on 10 November, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, the Anniversary Edition bundles together every major expansion and a host of community-created content. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also on the way, slated for release in 2026, marking the first time Fallout 4 will appear on a Nintendo console.

The package includes all six official DLCs: Far Harbour, Automatron, Nuka-World, Contraptions Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop, and Wasteland Workshop, alongside more than 150 pieces of Creations content, formerly known as Creation Club. These range from new weapons and power armour sets to unique Pip-Boy paint jobs.

Players will be able to browse and install community creations more easily through a redesigned Creations menu, bringing user-made content directly into the game for both console and PC players.

Bethesda teased several standout additions already in development, including one that offers a “slice of the Mojave Desert” in the Commonwealth, an escape room challenge, and even a “mind’s eye version of your spouse” voiced by the game’s original actors.

A new chapter for a post-apocalyptic classic

The Anniversary Edition follows last year’s next-gen upgrade, which reignited interest in the series following the success of the Fallout TV adaptation. During the broadcast, Bethesda noted that it is “working on even more,” hinting at further Fallout-related projects in the pipeline.

Players subscribed to Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus will be able to access the DLC and Creations content through two separate Anniversary Upgrade options.

While Fallout 5 remains a distant goal, to be released only after The Elder Scrolls VII, Bethesda’s latest update shows the studio’s continued commitment to expanding its most iconic wasteland adventure.

Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition launches on 10 November, 2025, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving in 2026.
