Grab your controllers, carve a pumpkin, and dim the lights. Halloween 2025 is here, and the gaming world is serving up its spookiest season yet. From horror icons invading Call of Duty to haunted skate parks and pumpkin-spiced superheroes, October is looking wickedly fun. Whether you’re into scares, silliness, or just collecting eerie cosmetics, here’s what’s haunting your favourite games this month.
Marvel Rivals introduces Marvel Zombies, its first PvE mode and more

Marvel Rivals kicked off Season 4.5 on 10 October, introducing Daredevil to the roster. While the season didn’t start out spooky, things are taking a turn with Marvel Zombies, launching on 23 October. This Marvel Zombies-themed mode is the game's first PVE event.
After that, the Voyage to Astonish event launches on 24 October. Players can unlock Midnight Mayhem pumpkin-themed costumes for Jeff the Landshark, Peni Parker, and more, plus a secret game mode shrouded in mystery.
On Halloween itself, two standout costumes arrive: Man-Spider for Spider-Man and Queen of the Dead Scarlet Witch, inspired by What If...? and Marvel Zombies.
Marvel Snap: Undead Horde

Marvel Snap is celebrating Halloween one undead card at a time with the new season, Undead Horde. Each week of October unlocks a zombified variant, including Colonel America, Zombie Mister Fantastic, Zombie Captain Marvel, and Zombies Galacti. Premium pass holders can also claim sinister variants, such as Arnim Zola Nightforged.
Call of Duty: The Haunting takes over Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone

The Haunting 2025 is live, kicking off Season 6 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone from 9 October. The crossover chaos continues with The Predator in the Battle Pass, Chucky in his own Event Pass, and Jason Voorhees slashing his way in later as a Store Bundle.
Both Verdansk and Rebirth Island now have eerie nighttime variants, while Black Ops 6 adds three new 6v6 maps and a cursed Nuketown makeover called Boo-Town. The mid-season update will revive Zombie Royale on Verdansk, along with Slasher Deathmatch, where players can face off as or against iconic killers. It’s safe to say no one’s sleeping easy this season.
Fortnite: Fortnitemares 2025 unleashes Scooby-Doo and Huggy Wuggy

Epic’s annual Fortnitemares event is underway, running from 9 October to 1 November. Coming right after the Kpop Demon Hunters x Fortnite crossover, players can now dive into a flood of Halloween chaos.
Classic items like the Pumpkin Launcher and Chainsaw have returned, while Doja Cat takes centre stage with her own themed area. The island’s getting crowded with horror royalty too, with Scooby-Doo, Ghost Face, Jason Voorhees, and Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime joining the fun. With new LTMs, limited cosmetics, and a spooky fresh map rotation, Fortnitemares 2025 promises tricks, treats, and plenty of jump scares.
GTA Online: Halloween Haunts

Rockstar Games is keeping the GTA Halloween Haunts rolling all month long. Beyond the returning Slasher mode, now taking place in the claustrophobic Ramius Submarine from 16 to 22 October, players can expect UFO sightings, phantom cars, and even the ability to transform into animals or fend off possessed creatures roaming Los Santos.
Each week offers a different chilling challenge, including Beast vs. Slasher, Judgement Day, and Condemned, all culminating in a finale that runs until 5 November. For those chasing GTA$ and chaos, October is the time to log back in.
Phasmophobia: The Crimson Eye opens

Kinetic Games is turning the fear dial all the way up. Starting 9 October, Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye Event introduces Blood Moon nights where ghosts move faster and sanity drops quicker. Maps like 6 Tanglewood Drive, Bleasdale Farmhouse, and 13 Willow Street rotate daily, keeping every investigation fresh and terrifying. Exclusive rewards are available until 31 October, if you survive long enough to claim them.
Dead by Daylight: Haunted by Daylight

Terror returns to Dead by Daylight as the Haunted by Daylight event runs from 14 October to 4 November. This year’s update brings back the eerie Void Realm, where players can collect Void Energy by completing tasks, open Void Rifts, and craft powerful Void Items, from smoke bombs to remote generator repairs.
Players can unlock new cosmetics for Felix Richter and The Skull Merchant, along with Skeleton Shirts, Candy Weapons, and themed charms and badges. Daily login rewards include Bloodpoints, Iridescent Shards, and Dark Trinkets, giving everyone a reason to step back into The Fog.
Halo Infinite: Operation Halloween 2

Fog gathers, fear returns, and Operation: Halloween II has risen once more in Halo Infinite. Running until 18 November, the event brings back the fan-favourite Survive the Undead mode, where players face endless waves of enemies, earn points, and unlock weapon upgrades to keep the nightmare at bay.
Expect new Squad Battle updates, haunted helmets, and plenty of spooky cosmetics in The Exchange, alongside Halo 5: Guardians’ 10th anniversary celebration.
Skate: Skate-O-Ween Rolls Out

Skate’s first Halloween event, Skate-O-Ween, runs from 21 October to 11 November. Players can shred through San Vansterdam to earn new cosmetics and costumes, making it the only event this month where “tricks” actually mean kickflips.
Whether you’re dodging Chucky in Warzone, skating under a blood moon, or pranking guards in Fallout 76, Halloween 2025’s gaming season is stuffed with spooky surprises. Load up your favourites, grab some sweets, and remember: in October, even respawns can be cursed.
Overwatch 2 Season 19: Haunted Masquerade

This week, Activision launched Overwatch 2 Season 19: Haunted Masquerade, a new Halloween event that introduces magical hero masks granting special buffs and powers, like Tracer wearing Winston’s mask, and vice versa. The trailer shows off these new abilities in action.
Alongside the Haunted Masquerade arcade mode, the season adds Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride as returning co-op fights, letting players battle “exploding zombie omnics,” Banshee Moira, and Gargoyle Winston across Adlersbrunn. Expect new Mythic cosmetics, collectibles, and other seasonal rewards.
Stadium is also adding Hazard, Sojourn, and Torbjörn as new heroes, a Busan (Control) map, and several upgrades. The trailer even teases another Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man crossover.
The Haunted Masquerade event runs until 9 December.
Fallout 76: Mischief Night Returns

From 29 October to 5 November, Fallout 76 invites players to embrace chaos in Mischief Night. Blow up cars, vandalise walls, fork lawns, and grab candy from trick-or-treat bowls. Complete JES-2R’s tasks every hour for XP, loot, and jack-o’-lanterns, along with a few nuclear-sized scares.
Warframe: Nights of Naberus

Until 3 November, Warframe’s Nights of Naberus event is back. Players can visit Daughter in the Necralisk to trade Mother Tokens for haunting rewards, including the Saturn Six Day of the Dead armour and Eukar Claw skin.
Red Dead Online: All Hallows’ Call to Arms

Red Dead Online is offering triple RDO$, Gold, and XP in All Hallows’ Call to Arms, with extra rewards on Halloween Telegram missions. The returning Halloween Pass 2 adds even more macabre fashion to your gunslinger’s wardrobe.
