Huge Pokémon leak reveals future Gen 10 mainline games, DLC, and MMO in development

The Pokémon Company has become the victim of a massive hack.

The Pokémon Company has reportedly fallen victim to yet another major hack, following the company’s infamous “Teraleak” last year, which saw its source code, documents, and more data leak online.

This week, more leaked information has been spread online, allegedly revealing Gamefreak’s roadmap of upcoming Pokémon-related projects. According to the leaks, these projects include a new Gen 10 mainline Pokémon game with a Southeast Asian-inspired setting, an MMO, and another Legends game.

Here’s what was leaked:

Pokémon Wind and Waves (Gen 10)

Much of this leaked information appears to originate from the same source of last year’s “Teraleak,” with the data being collated by a Twitter/X user named CentroLeaks. Hence, we have to consider that this information might not be fully accurate or even up-to-date with The Pokémon Company’s current plans, given that the leak is already a year old.

That being said, the leak’s big ticket item is the unveiling of the next mainline Pokémon games, which usher in the franchise’s 10th Generation of Pokémon. These two games are allegedly titled Wind and Waves, and set to launch in 2026. The games are said to be set in a Southeast Asian-inspired setting, with a protagonist that hails from a big city inspired by Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pokémon Wind and Waves is also said to introduce procedural generation for various islands on its in-game map, light MMO features, an open world, and a new graphics engine. The titles will also be Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive, making this the franchise’s first full leap into the next generation of Nintendo hardware.

The leak also states that Pokémon Wind and Waves will get DLC one year after launch, in 2027.

Multi-region Pokémon MMO in the works

The Pokémon Company is reportedly also working on an all-new multi-region Pokémon game, much like Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal. The new project is called Project Seed, and aims to allow players to “walk from Sinnoh to Hoenn.”

CentroLeaks says that “Seed is a prototyping project for a next-generation online game playable by multiple people, set in a region that connects Hoenn and Sinnoh,” suggesting that it won’t be a single-player title. The leaks did not specify a release window for this title.

More Pokémon Legends leaks

The Pokémon Company hack also leaked the full Pokédex for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including all of the game’s Shiny Pokémon and new Mega Evolutions. However, that’s not the only Pokémon Legends-related content included in this leak.

According to CentroLeaks, The Pokémon Company is already developing the next installment in the Pokémon Legends franchise. This sequel is set in the Galar region (from Pokémon Sword and Shield), a long 1,000 years before players stepped foot in it for the first time. Players will be tasked with the creation of the very first Gigamax Pokéball, in a title heavily inspired by Xenoblade Chronicles X.

While The Pokémon Company’s Gen 10 titles haven’t even been released yet, the leak also includes a release window for Gen 11: 2030. The leak also confirmed that the recently-revealed life sim game Pokopia will get DLC content, and that Pokémon Champions was originally planned for launch this year.

The Pokémon Company’s next big release, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is set to launch on 16 October, 2025.
