Battlefield 6 Season 1 roadmap brings explosive new modes, maps, and a winter showdown

A wave of new content is on the way for Battlefield 6, revealed in the roadmap just days ahead of launch.

EA has pulled back the curtain on the first wave of post-launch content for Battlefield 6, and it’s a packed schedule. Season 1 is set to unleash three game modes, two brand-new maps, and a festive battlefield makeover before 2025 wraps up, giving players no shortage of reasons to jump back into the fight.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 kicks off with a bang

The action starts on 28 October, when the first phase of Season 1 goes live. Players will deploy to Blackwell Fields, a warzone set on a reactivated American air base deep in California’s badlands. Alongside the map comes Strikepoint, a fast-paced 4v4 mode that drops squads into objective-driven rounds where every decision can swing the outcome.

Two new Battlefield 6 maps take the fight to new locations

The firefight expands on 18 November with the arrival of Eastwood. What looks like a quiet suburb quickly turns into a warzone, with combat stretching across tree-lined streets and even into the local golf course. This phase also introduces Sabotage, a limited-time mode where two teams of eight battle it out in attack-and-defend rounds. To raise the stakes further, Battle Pickups, rare and powerful weapons, drop into the fray, shaking up each encounter.

Battlefield 6 holiday event brings snow to the frontlines

The third and final phase of the year hits on 9 December 2025, decking out the Empire State map in a snow-dusted festive theme. The update also adds Ice Lock, a limited-time mode centred on a Freeze mechanic that’s set to change the tempo of battle and push squads to adapt fast.

Every phase of Season 1 will roll out fresh weapons, attachments, and extra content. EA has teased that not everything is on the roadmap, with the familiar promise of “and more” hinting at surprises to come.

From close-quarters squad clashes to large-scale suburban warfare, Battlefield 6’s first season is primed to deliver non-stop action and keep the firefights raging through the end of 2025.
