The sequel of the critically-acclaimed survival game Grounded, Grounded 2, has been announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
Grounded 2 has been announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed miniature survival adventure game. The game will transport players back to their miniature state with a new expanded world, mechanics, and more thrilling survival elements. The game will feature the vast suburban wilderness of Brookhollow Park.
One of the main highlights of the trailer was the addition of mounted combat. Players can now tame, ride, and fight alongside their buggy friends, besides using the usual weapons in the game. The crafting and base-building systems have been noticeably improved, with the addition of new biomes. The game now supported both first and third-person perspectives.

Grounded 2 story details
From the story side of the game, Grounded 2 will take players back into their miniature self, but this time, the adventure is expanding into Brookhollow Park, a massive new setting filled with mysteries. The story picks up two years after the events of the first game, with the original crew returning. Players will step into the shoes of their aged-up selves, and embark on a new, albeit still tiny, adventure.
Grounded 2 will initially launch exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass. Before officially launching, Grounded 2 will enter Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview on 29 July, 2025.
