Stellar Blade is officially confirmed to get a sequel, launching before 2027

Stellar Blade is getting a sequel, with Shift Up teasing more projects in a newly published roadmap.

It is finally confirmed: Stellar Blade is getting an actual sequel. South Korean developer Shift Up has quietly confirmed this through a chart showing the company’s plans, which were published in a financial presentation shared on Tuesday (20 May).

According to the presentation slide, the Stellar Blade sequel is among the games planned by developers to release before 2027.

However, before that happens, Shift Up is looking to expand the game’s reach across more platforms, which likely includes the game’s upcoming PC release on 11 June.

Aside from the Stellar Blade sequel, other projects were also listed to release before 2026. One such project includes “Project Witches,” which was said to be a multiplatform action-RPG.

Stellar Blade has been preparing for its PC release, which was first announced in March of this year. The game will be available for PC players on 11 June, 2025, and will release alongside a collab with mobile action-RPG Goddess of Victory: Nikke, for a DLC which will include six new outfits, a new boss, and more.

However, ShiftUp has been encountering some trouble less than a month before Stellar Blade’s PC release, as PC players have discovered that the game is region locked on Steam across 120 countries. The developer assured the fans that they have been “doing all they can” to fix the issue ahead of the game’s PC release.

The studio also previously promised to optimise the game for Steam Deck, although a definitive date for this has not been confirmed.

Stellar Blade was a major success for Korean developer Shift Up, selling over one million copies in its first two months following its April 2024 release. The game generated approximately US$43 million in revenue in the past financial year, according to a financial report shared by Eurogamer.
