Hearthstone Esports sets up its first major event of the year.
The first Hearthstone Esports event of the year is finally announced with Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders coming to both Twitch.TV as well as YouTube on April 2 - 3. First introduced back at Blizzcon in 2019, this one-versus-one last-man-standing game mode has been a popular feature in Hearthstone and it's now ready for bigger things. Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders will pit 16 Battleground players from across the globe against one another for their share of the $50,000 prize pool.
To qualify for Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders, you must first reach the top of your respective regional ladders by the end of February. Only the top 16 ladder competitors from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe will earn invites to a 48-player qualifying tournament that will be held offline on March 14. At the end of the qualifier, the top 12 players will advance to the broadcast tournament where they will meet the top four Battleground players from China.
On top of the official tournament broadcast on April 2 - 3, all players competing in the qualifiers as well as Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders will be invited to co-stream on their channels.
That's not all though as there will be a second Hearthstone Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends happening tentatively in May with the Ladder qualifying period concluding at the end of March. The actual date and name for the official event will be announced at a later time.
As we're well into February right now and heading into March, expect more information to come out from Hearthstone Esports, which includes tournament formats, the point system, qualifier lobbies, and more, only on the Hearthstone Esports' Twitter page.
