Upcoming Umamusume: Pretty Derby concerts in the U.S. have been cancelled.
This week, Cygames announced the cancellation of the planned Umamusume: Pretty Derby–7th Event: The Stage in Los Angeles concerts. The event was planned to run from 22–23 October, 2026, but the developer noted that despite exploring “every possible option,” it was unable to secure the necessary visas for entry into the United States.
This planned Los Angeles concert was part of a global tour for Umamusume: Pretty Derby, with events also being held in Tokyo, London, Seoul, and Yokohama. It marked the very first time that Umamusume: Pretty Derby’s music would be performed on a global scale.
Why were the Umamusume: Pretty Derby–7th Event: The Stage in Los Angeles concerts cancelled?
Earlier this Sunday (18 October), Cygames announced that it had been unable to get the U.S. entry visas needed for its upcoming Umamusume: Pretty Derby concerts in Los Angeles approved. At the time, the developer said that it would take more time before deciding on the fate of the event.
Today (20 October), Cygames confirmed the cancellation of the entire Los Angeles event in a statement to fans. The developer announced:
“Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.”
Cygames apologised to fans, the Umamusume cast, partner company staff, and everyone involved in the event, and noted that it will be processing refunds for both on-site viewing tickets and streaming tickets. It also stated that it is “looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person,” though it will “take some time, so we ask for your patience.”
In a previous statement, the company confirmed that it “had been working with lawyers and promoters in the US to secure the visas necessary to enter the US since over six months ago, but as of now the visas have yet to be approved.” Despite half a year of effort, the visas ultimately proved impossible for Cygames to attain.
