SumaiL and Lorenof join Nigma Galaxy ahead of Dota 2 EWC and TI qualifiers

Nigma Galaxy's roster shift sees SumaiL assume the carry role, while Lorenof takes over the mid lane.

Popular Middle Eastern Dota 2 organisation Nigma Galaxy has made major changes to its roster ahead of a crucial stretch in the competitive calendar. The team has welcomed back legendary player and The International (TI) champion Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan as their new carry, while promising Ukrainian talent Artem “Lorenof” Melnick joins as the midlaner.

The changes come ahead of several major end-of-season tournaments. Nigma Galaxy will debut its revamped roster at The International 2026 European regional qualifier, which begins on 21 June. The team is also set to compete at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup, which gets underway in Paris, France on 6 July.

What are the roster changes at Nigma Galaxy?

Fans who follow the competitive scene would’ve seen SumaiL recently stand in for Team Falcons, marking his return to action after a three-month absence. He is now officially back, rejoining Nigma Galaxy after leaving the organisation in March.

Arriving alongside him is Lorenof, Ukrainian talent who first broke through with Aurora Gaming in 2024 before producing several impressive performances in other squads. Last March, he stood in for Aurora at DreamLeague Season 28 and helped the team secure a runner-up finish.

The new arrivals come alongside a pair of departures, however. Shortly before unveiling its new roster, Nigma Galaxy announced it had parted ways with Tony “No!ob” Assaf and Rincyq.

No!ob had been a long-serving member of the squad, representing Nigma Galaxy since September 2024. During his time with the team, he played a key role in some of its most notable achievements, including a top-six finish at last year's The International.

Meanwhile, young Ukrainian player Rincyq had served as a temporary stand-in for Nigma Galaxy since January. However, the partnership failed to produce satisfying results, with the team's best finish this year being second place at the Tier 2 PREMIER SERIES.

What is Nigma Galaxy's current Dota 2 roster?

Nigma Galaxy's Dota 2 roster is now as follows:

  1. Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  2. Artem “Lorenof” Melnick
  3. Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn
  4. Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi
  5. Maroun “GH” Merhej
