Tundra Esports and Team Falcons are set to face off in BLAST Slam IV finals

The second day of BLAST Slam IV Playoffs see Tundra Esports and Team Falcons triumph over MOUZ and HEROIC.

The second day of the BLAST Slam IV Playoffs featured high-stake matches as four teams battled for a coveted spot in the tournament’s grand finale. Tundra Esports and Team Falcons finally began their Playoffs campaigns today. Both teams had topped the Group Stage last October, earning direct seeding into the semifinals. Meanwhile, MOUZ and HEROIC advanced to this stage after eliminating Team Spirit and Aurora Gaming on the opening day.

Today’s matchups delivered plenty of stunning moments—but in the end, the results went as many expected, with the established powerhouses coming out on top.

Tundra Esports overcome MOUZ’s relentless pressure

The first matchup of the day saw MOUZ face off against a formidable Tundra Esports lineup. While Tundra were widely regarded as the stronger team, MOUZ entered the series riding high on momentum after their upset victory over Team Spirit—a feat that boosted their confidence and energy. That confidence showed as MOUZ convincingly took the opening game, led by MidOne, who shone on his signature Shadow Fiend, finishing with a flawless 11/0/10 KDA.

Tundra struck back in game two, winning from the back of bzm’s dominant Batrider, who single-handedly took over the pace of the early game and helped tie the series.

The deciding map turned into a nail-biting battle that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Nai Zheng “MidOne” Yeik's Queen of Pain opened the game with an Ultra Kill just 24 seconds in. Both teams then traded blows and pressured each other across the map, with MOUZ even attempting a high ground siege at the 23-minute mark—only to be repelled by Tundra’s strong defense. Eventually, Tundra gained advantage with a devastating Axe Berserker’s Call–Invoker Cataclysm combo, stopping MOUZ’s strong momentum.

MOUZ exit the tournament in 3rd–4th place, taking home US$80,000 in consolation. This marks a remarkable result for such a newly formed roster. Their Top 4 finish puts them firmly on the radar as one of the new season’s rising contenders.

Team Falcons sweep HEROIC in dominant fashion

In contrast to the tense opener, the second series of the day was a simpler one-sided showdown. The reigning world champions, Team Falcons, showcased their dominance with a clean 2–0 sweep over HEROIC, outclassing the South American squad at every turn.

The opening match saw HEROIC attempt to counter Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak's Dragon Knight by drafting Adrian “Wisper” Cespedes Dobles' Batrider. However, Malr1ne once again proved why he’s considered the best mid laner in the world—not only withstanding early aggression, but also turning fights in his favor, claiming kills in defensive positions.

Falcons steadily built their gold lead and, when it came time for a high ground push, played with patience—poking in and out of fights to bait HEROIC’s spells and resources. Yuma “Yuma” Langlet's Gyrocopter made a Hail Mary Divine Rapier purchase, briefly slowing Falcons’ aggression, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback.

Game two painted a similar picture. Falcons grouped early, applying pressure across the map. Despite HEROIC managing a few valuable pickoffs, they failed to convert them into meaningful objectives or momentum, ultimately falling 0–2 to the reigning champions.

BLAST Slam IV’s grand final is set

The BLAST Slam IV Playoffs now move toward their grand conclusion. The Grand Final takes place tomorrow, Sunday, November 9, featuring a clash between Tundra Esports and Team Falcons. The winner will walk away with US$400,000 and the title of BLAST Slam IV champion.

Will Team Falcons claim their fourth consecutive championship and further prolong their dominant legacy?
Or will Tundra Esports, with two new players on board, rise to end the green team’s reign?
